A dream come true for siblings purchasing lot at Hillside

Meet Jacqui and Tom, a pair of siblings in their twenties who embarked on a remarkable journey to make their dream of owning a home in their hometown a reality. Their journey led them to the tight-knit community of Hillside, where they combined their resources to secure a homesite and piece of paradise they could call their own.

Jacqui had set her sights on land in the highly sought-after Mooloolah Valley almost two years ago, wanting to build a home in the suburb she grew up in but never expected this dream to come true because of market pressures and limited land availability. When land had become available in Hillside, she knew it was an opportunity that could not be missed and partnered with her brother to make it happen.

“We decided Mooloolah is where we wanted to live because we grew up here and our mum still lives in the area, just two minutes away from the block we chose. It worked out perfectly, so we decided to do it together” Jacqui said.

The pair has planned to design their own hinterland villa, with the house as a U shape, wrapping around the pool and having multiple living areas overlooking the Hillside’s pine forest.

The siblings both have dogs so it was crucial for the pair to live close to nature and have enough space with plenty of outdoor areas to explore, making Hillside the perfect fit.

Being located just a short 25 minute drive from Caloundra’s beautiful beaches, cafes, dining and local shops, for endless entertainment was also an important factor for the pair. Brisbane City is also only 80kms away from Hillside via the M1.

As the Hillside community grows, it provides more opportunities for others looking to buy and build within the area. It is rewarding to see people like Tom and Jacqui get the opportunity to build their dream home in our wonderful community!
