different lifestyle to most.
As a family of essential workers, being a QLD healthcare worker herself, with a DIDO (drive in drive out worker) partner of 23 years and two teenage boys both working in major supermarkets, the Lamb family were able to embrace their outdoor lifestyle of fishing trips, beach days and barbecues so much so that they decided to buy into it permanently.
“My sister actually lives on the Harbour and for the last 18 months we have lived on the Harbour beside her for an escape from our suburban home. In the time we lived there, we realised this is the place we want to be,” says Ms Lamb.
“An important aspect of moving to Dunes Harbour Beach was to be more in touch with the natural elements and to create a home that is more environmentally friendly.”
Urbex Realty Manager Craig Covacich says the demand for land in Mackay has turned a corner on the back of the Covid19 stimulus packages for new housing and the future outlook for Mackay’s residential property sector is bright.
“Post the expiry of the homebuilder grant we have been experiencing a spike in demand from subsequent homebuyers benefiting from the historically low interest enabling trades into lifestyle driven outcomes. Covid has certainly been a circuit breaker to the way we live,” says Mr Covacich.
Brisbane couple, Bindi Sandhu and Baljit Singh turned their retirement plans upside down, scrapping the traditional downsizing plans for a slice of lakefront views.
The pair have been residents at Mango Hill’s Capestone for nearly two years before deciding to upgrade two streets down from their first build in Capestone.
“The lake at Capestone has always been a drawcard for us and many others who are looking to buy. To be able to sit on the patio overlooking the lakefront is a lifestyle change we were ready for,” says Ms Sandhu.
Capestone, in the Moreton Bay region of Mango Hill, has attracted locals and interstate residents alike due to its unrivalled location and community hub, perfect for growing families.
