Local Gem Zuccoli Village Wins Big at UDIA (NT) Awards
The UDIA (NT) Awards for Excellence program is one of the most respected and sought after industry awards in the Territory, celebrating exceptional projects that shape urban landscapes in sustainable and remarkable ways.
Zuccoli Village was recognised for its outstanding delivery, winning the highly competitive Social and Community Infrastructure Award, along with being honoured as the best overall Project of the Year in the Northern Territory.
The master-planned development is a joint venture partnership between NT Government’s Land Development Corporation and developer Urbex. Backed by veteran leadership and extensive experience in delivering multi-award-winning communities, it exemplifies advanced urban design that seamlessly integrates natural open spaces with essential community amenities, marking a significant milestone for the community.
“We’re thrilled that Zuccoli Village has been recognised in these two categories at the UDIA (NT) Awards for Excellence. This achievement highlights our commitment to modern urban design and essential social and community infrastructure that meets our community’s needs. It also reinforces our dedication to creating a strong sense of place, enhancing the quality of life for our residents,” said Kassi Picken, Project Director for Urbex NT.
“Through our collaboration, we’ve envisioned a development that not only meets the housing needs of the Territory but also enhances the positive impact on both residents and the broader community, supporting all Territorians,” said Paul Schneider, Executive Director of Projects from Land Development Corporation.
The development was evaluated by a professional panel of independent industry professionals based on its architectural merit, community impact, local environment, engineering and planning innovations, sustainability initiatives, and community creation and integration.
Zuccoli Village has now achieved a total of four UDIA Awards for Excellence within eight years, beginning with a Master Planned Development Award in 2016, followed by the UDIA (NT) Environmental Excellence Award in 2018.
“Titled land is currently available, offering home buyers affordable housing options that qualify for the Northern Territory’s new home building grants, allowing them to secure their place in this multi-award-winning community. As demand rises, we remain dedicated to creating new land opportunities that cater to the lifestyle needs of Territorians,” Kassi said.
Located five minutes from Palmerston Centre, Zuccoli Village offers residents the tranquillity of a peaceful neighbourhood nestled among picturesque bushland, along with convenient access to local schools, childcare centres and the Zuccoli Plaza.
