New Bayside Park Opens with Free Community Event Celebrations
This new neighbourhood park, spanning over 7,000m², is set to become a popular destination for recreation and relaxation. It features a spacious 485m² playground designed to spark children’s curiosity and adventure, along with more than 1,300m² of open space perfect for family activities—whether it’s a game of tag, a family picnic, or simply soaking up the sun.
With sunny skies and great vibes, attendees enjoyed delicious ice cream treats, fun games, and face painting, with many little faces adorned with butterflies and unicorns. Brisbane’s number one hit radio station, KIIS 97.3FM, kept the energy high with great music, plenty of prizes, and engaging activities. It was a fantastic morning at the park, and we loved seeing everyone come together!
Delivered by Urbex and handed over to Redland City Council, Arc Boulevard Park is designed to foster community connection and promote active, outdoor living. Urbex, was represented by General Manager Carl Bruhn, who expressed his enthusiasm for the park:
“It was great to see the park come to life at Arc on the Point, with the local community making use of the green open spaces. Our aim is to build a community that has access to landscaped parklands and playgrounds for everyone to enjoy. It’s fantastic to see so many locals join us to celebrate the official opening, and we hope they become frequent visitors in the future.”
Local residents, including Redland City Mayor Jos Mitchell echoed this sentiment, emphasising the importance of well-designed open spaces for the community.
“Our parks and open spaces play a huge part in our enjoyment of the Redlands Coast lifestyle,” the Mayor said.
“Recreation hubs are vital as places for families and residents to gather, play, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. I’m sure Arc Boulevard Park will prove popular with local residents.”
Situated on Arc Boulevard, Arc Boulevard Park offers a peaceful environment where the local community can embrace the bayside lifestyle. The event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Urbex and Redland City Council, who now oversee this exciting new community asset.
Spanning 25 hectares of open green spaces and landscaped parklands, Arc on the Point is a thriving neighbourhood that continues to grow and evolve.
