A Decade of Connection: Celebrating Capestone’s 10th Anniversary and Community Milestones

It’s been a whole decade since Capestone came to life! And we’re incredibly proud to have built a connected community full of so many wonderful people. As we celebrate Capestone’s 10th anniversary, let’s relive some of the key moments that have shaped our amazing community.

When Capestone was first created, the goal was always to make it a place for people to connect and thrive as a community. Now, over a decade on, the community spirit can’t be ignored – with local events growing in the area, the dog park, lake and multiple play areas bringing people closer day after day has sparked countless new friendships.

Our previous Easter and Christmas parties were memorable occasions that brought us together to enjoy good company, delicious food, and a whole lot of laughs. The kids had a blast with games and activities, while the adults got to catch up and create new friendships. These gatherings had truly become the pinnacle of initiating and creating the strong sense of community that thrives within Capestone today.

Our furry friends are never forgotten from the community, now enjoying even more space to run and play in the off-leash dog park. There is nothing better than seeing this space become a social space, not only for pups, but for their fur parents too!

To support the needs of our local working parents, we’ve been proud to welcome exceptional day-care centers like Kidz Magic and Agile Early Learning Centre into the community. These dedicated facilities offer a nurturing environment for children to grow and develop, and put family at the heart of what they do.

Capestone Village has flourished into a vibrant commercial hub, offering some incredible new restaurants, grooming and beauty salons, specialty stores, professional services and shopping outlets. Just as intended, this lakeside hub has quickly become the go-to destination for relaxation, socialising with friends, and tending to life’s necessities.

Since the launch of Capestone Village’s original restaurants and the lakeside café, Degani, in October 2021, Capestone Village has expanded its food offerings to over six establishments, including the newly opened Il Lago Italian, which brings a little taste of Italy to the North Side.

What a journey it’s been seeing the growth of our wonderful Capestone Community! To all of our valued residents, thank you for being a part of it all. Join us in raising a glass to the memories we’ve made and the friendships we’ve formed over the past 10 years!
